Nintendo Switch Has Surprises Planned “Over The Next Two Years”

With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, and Super Mario Odyssey having been released for Nintendo Switch in its first year, many may be worried about what Nintendo has planned for the portable home console’s successive years.

That was the situation posed to Nintendo Switch general producer Yoshiaki Koizumi, who has assured that they have surprises planned with both new and existing IP “over the next two years.”

“Nintendo still has many IPs which have not come out for the system, and also more than just existing IPs in store as well,” Koizumi explained to Famitsu.

“We are planning and preparing games that people probably haven’t even thought about, which will be released steadily over the next two years. We hope to make games which resonate with players using this process, so please patiently look forward to it.”

We already know that Kirby: Star Allies, a new Fire Emblem game, and the Yoshi game shown at E3 2017 are in development for Nintendo Switch, with many studios such as Retro Studios and Next Level Games working on unknown projects.
