Nintendo Switch Has Sold 92.87 Million Units Worldwide

Nintendo has announced that more than 92.87 million Nintendo Switch consoles have been sold worldwide.

In the three months that cover the start of July up until 30th September 2021, 3.83 million Nintendo Switch (OLED Model), Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles have been sold. In the first six months of the year, 6.45 million Nintendo Switch and 1.82 million Nintendo Switch Lite consoles have been sold.

While hardware sales have shown a 34% decrease year-on-year and software sales a 6.3% decrease year-on-year, the company explained that Animal Crossing: New Horizons had “prompted a significant increase in hardware and software sales” which resulted in such declines.

Nintendo has now sold more than 681 million Nintendo Switch games, and, if you want to know which are proving to be most popular, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 38.74 million, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold 34.85 million, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has sold 25.71 million copies,  The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 24.13 million, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have sold 22.64 million, while Super Mario Odyssey has sold 21.95 million copies.

Meanwhile, Super Mario Party has sold 16.48 million, Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! have sold 13.83 million, Splatoon 2 has sold 12.68 million, and Ring Fit Adventure has sold 12.21 million copies.
