Nintendo has announced that more than 89.04 million Nintendo Switch consoles have been sold worldwide.

In the three months that cover the start of April up until 30th June 2021, 4.45 million Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles have been sold. That breaks down as 3.31 million Nintendo Switch and 1.14 Nintendo Switch Lite consoles.

The company acknowledged that sales from their dedicated video game business decreased by 10.3% year-on-year, as, while hardware and software sales “remain steady,” their overall sales had declined compared to last year when Animal Crossing: New Horizons had been a “major driver” as the COVID-19 pandemic started to impact the world.

Nintendo has now sold more than 632.40 million Nintendo Switch games, and, if you want to know which are proving to be most popular, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 37.08 million, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold 33.89 million, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has sold 24.77 million copies,  The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 23.20 million, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have sold 21.85 million, while Super Mario Odyssey has sold 21.40 million copies.

Meanwhile, Super Mario Party has sold 15.72 million, Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! have sold 13.57 million, Splatoon 2 has sold 12.45 million, and Ring Fit Adventure has sold 11.26 million copies.
