Nintendo has announced that more than 84.59 million Nintendo Switch consoles have been sold worldwide.
In the last three months – covering the start of January up until 31st March 2021 – 4.72 million Nintendo Switch consoles have been sold.
That means that 28.83 million consoles have been sold in the last financial year, which Nintendo calculates as representing an increase of 37.1 percent year-on-year. There were 20.32 million Nintendo Switch consoles sold, and 8.51 million Nintendo Switch Lite consoles.
Nintendo has now sold more than 587.12 million Nintendo Switch games, and, if you want to know which are proving to be most popular, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 35.39 million, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold 32.63 million, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has sold 23.84 million copies, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 22.28 million, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have sold 21.10 million, while Super Mario Odyssey has sold 20.83 million copies.
Meanwhile, Super Mario Party has sold 14.79 million, Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! have sold 13.28 million, Splatoon 2 has sold 12.21 million, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has sold 10.44 million copies.
