Nintendo has announced that more than 17.79 million Nintendo Switch consoles have been sold worldwide, outpacing their own predictions for the demand behind the portable home console.

It was met with that strong demand right from launch, with 2.74 million units shifted worldwide in March 2017 alone to have seen it become the fastest-selling console in Nintendo’s history.

If you want to know which games are proving to be most popular, Super Mario Odyssey has sold 10.41 million copies, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 9.22 million, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 8.48 million, while Splatoon 2 has sold 6.02 million. Meanwhile, 1-2-Switch has sold 2.29 million, ARMS has sold 1.85 million, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has sold 1.31 million.

Nintendo will now look to maintain the strong momentum behind the portable home console, with Mario Tennis Aces, Octopath Traveler, and Nintendo Labo, that was revealed this week as “a new line of interactive build-and-play experiences designed to inspire creative minds.”
