Nintendo has announced that more than 32.27 million Nintendo Switch consoles have been sold worldwide, meaning that the portable home console has nearly outsold the Nintendo 64 (32.93 million).

In the last three months – covering October to December – 9.41 million Nintendo Switch consoles have been sold, with software sales in the same time period shifting 52.51 million copies.

However, despite their success in the holiday season, Nintendo has chosen to revise their forecast – lowering their rather ambitious target to sell 20 million Nintendo Switch consoles this fiscal year to 17 million. With 14.49 million consoles sold so far, they should easily be able to hit that.

The company has now sold more than 163.61 million Nintendo Switch games, and, if you want to know which are proving to be most popular, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 15.02 million, Super Mario Odyssey has sold 13.76 million copies, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has sold 12.08 million copies, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 11.68 million, while Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! have sold 10 million.

Meanwhile, Splatoon 2 has sold 8.27 million, Super Mario Party has sold 5.30 million, 1-2-Switch has sold 2.86 million, Mario Tennis Aces has sold 2.53 million and Kirby Star Allies has sold 2.42 million.
