Nintendo Switch Has An Airplane Mode

It would appear that Nintendo Switch has an Airplane Mode, with such a fact revealed when the Nintendo Treehouse Live with Nintendo Switch stream had shown the console’s user interface for the first time.

This has become a standardised setting across smartphones, laptops and other electronic devices, and is activated on flights to make sure that any radio-frequency signal transmission sent by the device is suspended. That could see Bluetooth, GPS or Wi-Fi temporarily disabled until the mode is deactivated.

We won’t learn more until Nintendo chooses to talk more about the console’s operating system, whether that come in a Nintendo Direct before launch or we have to discover for ourselves is another matter.

The other elements that we know about the user interface include icons that will link users to News and announcements, the Nintendo eShop, and an Album, where they can save screenshots using the Capture Button on the left Joy-Con.

Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on Friday 3rd March, priced at £279.99 ($299.99).
