Nintendo of America has announced that Nintendo Switch sold more than 1.35 million units in the United States in November 2020, seeing the portable home console achieve yet another milestone.

Thanks to Thanksgiving and Black Friday boosting Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite sales, the console managed to reach “another milestone as the best-selling video game console in the U.S. for a record-breaking 24 consecutive months.”

In 2020, Nintendo has sold more than 6.92 million units in the United States alone, surpassing the number sold in 2019 by over 426,000 units.

“Nintendo Switch offers a unique proposition for shoppers this holiday season with the ability to play on the TV or portably in handheld mode,” explains Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.

“We continue to see unprecedented demand for Nintendo Switch, and we are pleased that people of all ages and gaming skill levels will be experiencing Nintendo Switch this holiday and beyond.”
