Nintendo has announced that more than 19.86 million Nintendo Switch 2 consoles have now been sold worldwide.
In the fiscal year ended 31 March 2026, the company also confirmed that it has sold 48.71 million Nintendo Switch 2 games. Mario Kart World continues to be the most popular, with 14.70 million copies sold, with Donkey Kong Bananza selling more than 4.52 million copies, Pokémon Legends: Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition selling 3.94 million copies, Pokémon Pokopia selling 2.41 million copies, and Kirby Air Riders selling 1.87 million copies.
“In the 2026 fiscal year (April 2025 to March 2026), Nintendo Switch 2 got off to a good start following its launch in June and global sales continued to grow after that. The March release of Pokémon Pokopia was a factor in driving further hardware sales toward the end of the fiscal year, helping sales volume reach 19.86 million units for the full term,” the company explained in its fiscal year earnings report.
“Looking at software, Mario KartWorld, which was released on the same day as the hardware, sold 14.70 million units, including bundle sales, and Donkey KongBananza, released in July, sold 4.52 million units. Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, released in October, sold 3.94million units of the packaged version.
“Unit sales of the downloadable versions of this title and other Nintendo Switch 2 Edition titles are counted in the sales of Nintendo Switch software. Nintendo Switch 2 software unit sales for the fiscal year reached 48.71 million units.”
