Square Enix has revealed a platform-exclusive Keyblade for those who purchase Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] on Nintendo Switch 2.
The promotional marketing on the Square Enix Store shows that those who choose to play on the portable home console successor will have access to the Long Night Keyblade, which “can be redeemed forever with the purchase of the game.”
This same material also confirms that the physical copy will have a reversible inlay, which features the Kingdom Hearts 25th anniversary monogram and logo. It will be a Game-Key Card release, though, meaning that you will have to download the three-in-one compilation to play it.
“Long-time fans and new players alike can experience the beginning of the Kingdom Hearts adventure in this collection,” the publisher outlined in an earlier press release.
“Join Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy as they travel through Disney and Pixar worlds to overcome Darkness through the power of the Keyblade, all while experiencing the stories of and befriending a magical cast of characters. The collection includes Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC).”
The recent Nintendo Direct presentation also shared that Kingdom Hearts 4 will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 “at launch.”
Kingdom Hearts Collection I-III will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 8 October 2026.
