Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 Presentation Will Be “Fast” And “To The Point”

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has revealed that the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 presentation will last 25 minutes, but it will be “fast” and “to the point.”

Within that, Super Mario Odyssey will play a “big part,” but game reveals and first looks were also promised.

“For us, this is all about continuing to drive the momentum of Nintendo Switch, continuing to drive momentum for Nintendo 3DS. 3DS is going to get lots of love while we’re here,” Fils-Aime explained to Geoff Keighley on YouTube Live at E3.

“Spotlight is a 25-minute kick-off to all of our activity. It’s fast, it’s to the point. It’s highlighting a number of key games – a number of reveals, a number of first looks.”

He added: “Mario Odyssey is going to be a big part of that. But, as I said, the Spotlight is just the beginning. We’re going to go right from that right into Treehouse Live.

“I can tell your audience within the first hour of Treehouse Live we’re going to be breaking more news. So, it’s just going to be a continuous flow of information from Nintendo here at E3.”

He went on to take on Geoff in Nintendo Switch exclusive ARMS, playing as Ninjara and Twintelle respectively – with Fils-Aime going on to win 2-1.
