Nickelodeon have announced that this year’s 2014 Kids’ Choice Awards are being sponsored by Nintendo, and, more directly, as a vehicle to advertise Yoshi’s New Island.
The news was accompanied by a short live-action trailer, which sees Yoshi hurl a Mega Eggdozer across a suburb before it ricochets to collide with a Nickelodeon balloon that splurges slime all over the viewer’s screen.
It’s interesting that they’d choose the 3DS exclusive over, say, the impending arrival of Mario Kart 8 in May, but nevertheless it’s a good opportunity that they’ve seized to once again promote their products.
