Nintendo has revealed the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, which is pitched as “an interactive alarm clock designed to add some Nintendo charm to your home and your daily routine.”
Priced at $99.99, Alarmo includes motion sensor technology that responds to your movements, letting you snooze your alarm with motion alone or stop it by getting out of bed.
You will be able to tailor your routine and make waking up fun by selecting between 35 scenes inspired by five Nintendo games – Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4 and Ring Fit Adventure.
After setting your alarm, you will experience immersive sounds and music from the scene you chose – whether that be rising to the sounds of the Mushroom Kingdom with Mario and friends, beginning your day with Link and Princess Zelda or starting fresh with the Inklings from Splatoon 3.
If you link your Nintendo Account, you can download free updates that add scenes from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons when they become available.
You can also check Records to see how much you move around in your sleep, set an hourly chime themed to your chosen game, and change between Steady or Gently Modes for your morning alarm.
In Steady Mode, the alarm will gradually get more intense the longer you stay in bed. Whereas Gentle Mode will offer a more consistent intensity level. There is also a Button Mode for a more traditional “hit the snooze button” alarm clock experience.
Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo will initially be available to purchase as a timed exclusive offer for Nintendo Switch Online members until mid-January 2025. It is also available to purchase at the Nintendo NY store, where no Nintendo Switch Online membership is required.
