Nintendo set to exhibit at 2011 International CES

It has been announced today that Nintendo are to attend the 2011 International CES as an exhibitor, with such a move marking the company’s first appearance at the world’s largest consumer technology trade show in an approximate number of sixteen years.

They’ll appear amidst a list of over 35 exhibitors, each displaying the latest gaming technology advancements within the 2011 CES Gaming Showcase. Such a Showcase is to feature advancements with online gaming and gaming-related products including debuts in both hardware and software.

“With the gaming market expected to generate $20.3 million in 2010, the International CES is the must-stop hub for innovative gaming products, and will allow CES attendees to experience the future of gaming from an amazing range of innovative companies,” commented Karen Chupka, Senior Vice President of Events and Conferences for CEA. “The Gaming Showcase at CES will feature the hottest gaming trends for the coming year.

Major gaming exhibitors include: AMD, HP, Intel, Lenovo, LevelUp, Logitech, Microsoft, Nintendo, Nokia, Sony and more, with publishers and developers also in attendance, including: Alcazar Entertainment, Cosmi, DC Comics/Warner and DreamWorks Animation. Furthermore, key retailers like Amazon.com, Best Buy and GameStop will also attend .

The International CES is set to return to Las Vegas from 6th-9th January 2011.
