Nintendo of America has prevailed in yet another patent case, that had been filed against the company by Secure Axcess.

At a federal court in Washington state on August 4th, judge Ricardo Martinez issued a ruling that sided with Nintendo on 10 disputed issues regarding the scope of the patent. This resulted in Secure Axcess agreeing that neither the Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DS infringe upon it.

Secure Axcess is a patent-assertion company, and filed a suit against Nintendo and 11 retailers of their products in a Texas court back in January 2013. The case had since been transferred to the Washington court, where it was dismissed.

“We are very pleased with the court’s rulings and outcome in this case, and will continue to vigorously defend our innovative products against patent lawsuits,” comments Devon Pritchard, Nintendo of America’s general counsel and senior vice president of business affairs.

This closely follows Nintendo of America’s win in a separate patent case filed against them by Quintal Research Group.
