Nintendo have begun to introduce a new tablet-based distribution platform in retailers across Europe.
Already in place at LEGOLAND Germany and Smyths Toys Superstore’s Reading branch in the United Kingdom, this will allow retailers to sell download Wii U and Nintendo 3DS software and add-on content. Once the consumer has chosen what they would like to buy, the retailer can use the table-based service to issue and print out a unique code for them to redeem in the Nintendo eShop.
This new purchase mechanic is now available to retailers across the UK, Ireland and Germany, and will be open to more European countries in the future.
