Nintendo release The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword opening movie

Nintendo have today released the opening movie to anticipated Wii exclusive, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Having been unveiled through the game’s official Japanese website, the clip features plenty of new footage that reveals a number of new gameplay elements such as a mine cart section, and speculative section where Link appears to be able to travel around by boat.

The video was accompanied by a new interview between Nintendo’s CEO Satoru Iwata and Shigeru Miyamoto, in which Miyamoto explains that whilst Skyward Sword has in development for five years, it isn’t the most expensive game that the company has made. He also was keen to assure that the extensive development period wasn’t wasted though.
