Nintendo of America will be at WonderCon this weekend, promising to liven up the event with amiibo tournaments, games and giveaways.
Taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center between Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th April, attendees will be able to take each other on in colourful Wii U exclusive shooter Splatoon, with prizes to be won throughout the show by keeping an eye on the company’s social media channels.
Several amiibo tournaments will be held over the course of the weekend, with 32 players being drawn at random to compete in each tournament. Winners will receive more amiibo figures as their prize, with those in first place receiving the coveted Gold Mario amiibo. Tournament rules and regulations may be viewed here, whereas specific timings have been clarified as follows:

Meanwhile, Capcom will hold a developer panel about Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate at 1.30pm on Sunday 5th April in Room 300DE. This will provide exclusive insights into the game and an audience Q&A session, with director Kaname Fujioka and series executive producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed to be on the panel.
