Nintendo partner with Universal to create “major attractions” at theme parks

Nintendo Land takes one step closer to becoming a reality, with Nintendo having today announced that they have partnered with Universal Parks & Resorts, seeing them work to bring Nintendo’s games, characters an worlds to life with “major attractions” at Universal theme parks.

The move is described as a “significant partnership” for Nintendo, as they continue their efforts to expand the reach and popularity of their iconic characters and intellectual property.

The agreement will see plans for “immersive experiences” to be created, and will see Universal Parks & Resorts draw on their reputation for delivering “incredibly popular, innovative themed family entertainment experiences based on compelling stories and characters.” For the first time, that will now see Nintendo’s stories and characters brought to life in such way.

With Nintendo and Universal’s creative teams working to create specific concepts, more details will be announced in the future.
