Nintendo of Europe won’t host Wii U press event

Whereas Nintendo of America are gearing up for a Wii U specific press event, it appears that those across Europe need no longer look forward to seeing anything similar.

Nintendo of Europe have confirmed that they won’t be holding an event for the region, instead beginning to focus on their “communications plan” that will see the new console hit the road and placed into the hands of the public.

“We are not planning a specific European event like NOA,” a Nintendo of Europe spokesperson explained, “however we are looking to put the new Wii U console in the hands of as many people across Europe as possible and we will be in contact with news of our UK communications plan in the near future.”
