Nintendo of America have announced that they have hired Duncan Orrell-Jones as their new Senior Vice President of Network Business.
Effective from July 1st, Orrell-Jones will assume the newly created role and begin to spearhead the development of Nintendo’s digital strategy for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U across the region.
Orrell-Jones moves from The Walt Disney Company, whom he has worked for since 1993, recently acting as Senior Vice President of the Disney Interactive Media group.
He will be based at Nintendo of America’s headquarters in Richmond, Washington, and will report directly to President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime.
“Duncan Orrell-Jones brings knowledge and hands-on experience to Nintendo that will help us develop and implement long-term digital initiatives for our systems,” Fils-Aime commented.
“By creating this new position we’re demonstrating our commitment to the expansion of our online business, and Duncan is the perfect person for the job.”
