Nintendo of America have moved to impart some damage control, after news emerged this week that had indicated they wouldn’t be publishing Devil’s Third in North America.
“Nintendo doesn’t comment on rumours or speculation,” was the standard response given to any journalists asking for clarification. But, Nintendo of America have since taken to Twitter to share that they “are excited to bring the game to Wii U and will have more to share soon.”
That doesn’t confirm outright that the company will still be publishing the Wii U exclusive, but suggests that if they aren’t they are very much involved in bringing Dead or Alive creator Tomonobu Itagaki’s latest game to market.
We know you are eager to hear more about Devil’s Third. We are excited to bring the game to Wii U and will have more to share soon.
