Speculated to have arrived later this year, Nintendo has announced that Nintendo NX will launch globally in March 2017.
“For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed ‘NX’ with a brand-new concept,” the company wrote in their fiscal year earnings release. “NX will be launched in March 2017 globally.”
That is the first information to be released about the company’s next system this year, which it has now been confirmed won’t be making an appearance at E3 2016. Nintendo has instead chosen to reveal their “dedicated game platform” at a separate event later in the year.
