With Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit out next week, Nintendo has released a new overview video that shows how you can dive, drive and fly with the Toy-Con Car, Submarine and Plane that you will build.
That takes a closer look at Adventure mode, in which you can seamlessly swap between the three vehicles to explore a world that has pyramids, an archaeological dig site, snowy mountains and more for you to discover.
Whether adventuring solo or in co-op with a friend, the vehicles each have their own special moves – whether that be the submarine’s grappling hook, performing barrel rolls and shooting missiles in the plane or deploying saw blades or bombs in the car.
There are other modes, too, such as Rally where you are challenged to pass through checkpoints while racing to the goal; Circuit where you can launch punches at opponents while racing; Slot Car which is controlled using only the Toy-Con Pedal; and Battle, in which you can compete in one-on-one automotive combat.
You can use the Toy-Con Spray Can in the Paint Studio to personalise the vehicles and driver in-game, while Custom Controls will help you create your own controllers to use with common household items – like using a broom to steer the plane.
And, as announced at Gamescom 2018, you will soon be able to use the Toy-Con Car and Pedal to race against your friends in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide on September 14th.
