Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé has suggested that there will be “differences” between The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Nintendo NX and Wii U.

There is expectation that the Nintendo NX version will have graphical improvements, but this could indicate that the “dedicated game platform” could once again see the company introduce a new control scheme.

“So, what we’ve said is absolutely it’s going to be available simultaneously for the two different platforms,” Fils-Aimé explained to iJustine.

“The differences, we’ll show those off in the future as we get in more in-depth into what NX is, and what is the real name of NX, and what does it do and all those things. That’s all coming. And during that experience, we’ll help people understand what is the difference between these two.”

His comments came after The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma had shared that Breath of the Wild will offer the “same experience,” regardless of whether players choose the Nintendo NX or Wii U version.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release exclusively for Nintendo NX and Wii U in 2017.
