This week’s Nintendo eShop releases for North America are in, delivering new demos and games for Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS – as well as plentiful discounts across all platforms.

Nintendo Switch Demos

  • Detention, Coconut Island Games – Free
    Detention is a unique atmospheric horror game heavily influenced by Taiwanese/East Asian culture, religious elements and mythology. Based on the 1960s Taiwan under martial law, in this 2D atmospheric horror side-scroller, the player control characters who venture into the school beset by hostile supernatural events to uncover stories behind the haunted place. Incorporated the game provided players with unique graphics and gaming experience.

  • A Case of Distrust, Serenity Forge – $14.99
    A Case of Distrust is a narrative mystery from 1924 San Francisco. Play as private investigator Phyllis Cadence Malone in this historical 2D adventure game. Explore underground speakeasies, smoke-filled billiard halls, classic barber shops, and more. Catch suspects in lies by using evidence, statements, and your wits. Intrinsic challenges face our heroine, as she struggles against a pushback on emancipation, leading to many doubts, both internal and external. Uncover the truth in a mystery full of deception!
  • A Gummy’s Life, EP Games – $14.99 (available Tuesday 25th September)
    Play as a gummy with up to eight friends online or on the couch! Easy to play, hard to master. You can sit down, smash all the buttons and have fun or… use the right move in each situation to take your opponents down!
  • ACA NEOGEO Aggressors of Dark Kombat, Hamster Corporation – $7.99
    Aggressors of Dark Kombat is a fighting game released by SNK in 1994. Pick one of eight intense fighters and go into battle to accomplish their goals.   • Arcade Archives RYGAR, Hamster Corporation – $7.99
    RYGAR is a video game created by Tecmo in 1986 and originally released for arcades in Japan as Warrior of Argus. It is a scrolling platform game where the player assumes the role as the Legendary Warrior. The main feature of gameplay is using a weapon called the Diskarmor.
  • Broken Age, Double Fine Productions – $14.99
    Broken Age is a timeless coming-of-age story of barfing trees and talking spoons. Vella Tartine and Shay Volta are two teenagers in strangely similar situations, but radically different worlds. The player can freely switch between their stories, helping them take control of their own lives, and dealing with the unexpected adventures that follow.
