Nintendo eShop Update: 11th January 2018 (North America)

This week’s Nintendo eShop releases for North America are in, delivering new content on Nintendo Switch, Wii U, New Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo 3DS – as well as plentiful discounts across all platforms.

Nintendo Switch Add-On Content

  • Pokkén Tournament DX Battle Pack, Nintendo – $14.99
    The Battle Pack is now available for purchase in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch, and includes two Waves of Battle Pokémon and Support Pokémon Sets. Wave 1 of the Battle Pack contains Battle Pokémon Aegislash and a new Support Pokémon Set featuring Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. Aegislash can change between two formes, and players can wield them both. Wave 2 includes the new Battle Pokémon Blastoise and a new Support Pokémon Set featuring Mew and Celebi. Wave 1 will be available 31st January 2018, and Wave 2 is scheduled for 23rd March 2018. Both Waves of DLC are only available with purchase of the Battle Pack; they are not sold individually. Content will be available as it is released.

    Art of Fighting 2 is a fighting game released by SNK in 1994. Twelve fighters compete to be crowned as the strongest one in the “King of Fighters” ultimate fighting championship.   • The Escapists 2, Team17 – $19.99

Wii U Games

  • Jolt: Family Robot Racer, Cooply – $5.99
    The game at its core is a competitive platformer that’s all about maintaining momentum with skillful navigation. The players compete to be the last robot standing. Using a charged burst of speed called the JOLT, and an array of different objects in the environment; your goal is to outperform or outright sabotage the other racers. Eliminated players are down but not out through the use of the VOID, a random Sabotage Power-Up that allows players to initiate revenge and change the outcome of the race!

New Nintendo 3DS Games

  • Operation COBRA, Bidement Entertainment – $2.99
    You find yourself stranded in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by mud. You have no chance of escaping this zombie-filled island. Your only chance of survival is to fight off the zombies.

Nintendo 3DS Pre-Load

  • Pokémon Crystal Version, Nintendo – $TBC
    When it launched in Japan 17 years ago, Pokémon Crystal introduced many new and exciting elements to the beloved Pokémon franchise. The game, an expanded version of the popular Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver games, was the first in the Pokémon franchise to allow players to choose between a boy or girl playable character, and also was the first game to introduce animations during Pokémon battles. And now, this 2D Nintendo eShop release invites you to explore the Johto region again – or for the first time. The Pokémon Crystal Version game is now available for pre-purchase in Nintendo eShop, with a launch date of 26th January 2018.
