This week’s Nintendo eShop releases for North America are in, delivering new games for Nintendo Switch as well as plenty of discounts across all platforms.

  • 80’s OVERDRIVE, Insane Code: 80’S OVERDRIVE is a 2D pixel art racing game, designed to take you back in time to when 8 and 16 bit consoles and arcade games ruled the world. Compete against opponents in career mode to unlock new races, buy new cars, and upgrade them with state-of-the-art technologies!
  • Arcade Archives MAGMAX, Hamster Corporation: MAGMAX is a shooting game released by Nichibutsu in 1985. The player can power up by combining with the parts falling on the stage in order to defeat the Strange Mechanism Babylon. With 4 different stages, aboveground and underground stages not only vary in their appearance, but offer different ways to attack!
  • Armed 7 DX, Storybird: With ARMED 7 DX, discover 7 stages of pure mecha-shooting action with customisable weapons. Use all laser beams, space rockets and missiles to suit your needs. Gear up and fight!
  • Bomb, Sabec: Bomb is a fun and easy to play arcade game where the goal is to defeat your opponent. Each player places bombs on the ground which explode within a few seconds and if you blow up a one of the hidden bonus objects you could win a Power-up which will make you explosions bigger or an extra bombs which will let you to place multiple bombs at a time.
  • Cannibal Cuisine, Rocket Vulture (available Wednesday 20th May): The god Hoochooboo is hungry… for you. But as all good cannibal cooks know, serving is better than being served. Ready, steady, cook your way through 20+ levels in a full campaign across the island. Visit the jungle, temples, beaches and a lavalicious volcano!
  • Carnage: Battle Arena, BoomBit Games: Carnage is an epic car combat game with tons of cars, destructible environment, dozens of glorious maps, realistic physics and a unique, blocky art style.
  • Cooking Simulator, Forever Entertainment: Experience the world of restaurant cooking in a highly polished, realistic kitchen. Use ovens, gas stands, pots, pans, bowls and plates, everything you need.   • Dungeon of the Endless (available Friday 15th May): Dungeon of the Endless is the award-winning rogue-like, dungeon-defense game in which you and your team of heroes must protect the generator of your crashed ship while exploring an ever-expanding dungeon, all while facing waves of monsters and special events as you try to find a way out.
  • Emma: Lost in Memories, JanduSoft (available Friday 15th May): Poetic, surrealistic and melancholic, EMMA: Lost in Memories offers a unique experience in a strange and dangerous world where walls fade away as you touch them.
  • Gates Of Hell, Super Icon: Gates of Hell is a fast-paced first-person shooter where you must battle through relentless waves of Demonic terror! There is nowhere to hide as you battle through Hell’s raging demon hordes. Keep on the move, find and equip powerful Angelic and Demonic weapons and stay alive as long as you can.
  • Golf With Your Friends, Team17 (available Tuesday 19th May): Why have friends if not to play Golf… With Your Friends! Nothing is out of bounds as you take on 9 courses filled with fast paced, exciting, simultaneous mini golf for up to 12 players!
  • Greedroid, PLiCy: Greed Gear is said to make any dream come true.To make her dreams come true, the robot “IB” explores the dungeon!
  • HardCube, Big Way (available Friday 15th May): This arcade platformer for all hardcore lovers of toys. Simple and addictive time killer with lots of interesting setting in which a lot of different levels and worlds. Nice graphics eye accompanying soundtracks gameplay and online rankings.
  • Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix, SEGA (available Friday 15th May): Take the stage! The hit rhythm game series returns with exciting new features. Mix it up and choose from two playable modes: traditional Arcade Mode or the new Mix Mode, which features motion controls. With fan-favorite classics and new hits, choose from more than 100 songs for endless rhythm fun.
  • Ion Fury, 1C Entertainment: Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison takes on a quest to slay evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel in the streets of Neo DC. She leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There’s no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.
  • Jet Ski Rush, Cool Small Games: Get ready to race your jet skis! Jump on your jet ski and get lost in the water madness of JetSki Rush! Can you complete the water course filled with obstacles and traps?
  • Kakuro Magic, Nestor Yavorskyy (available Friday 15th May): Kakuro is like a crossword puzzle with numbers. Each “word” must add up to the number provided in the clue above it or to the left. Words can only use the numbers 1 through 9, and a given number can only be used once in a word. Every kakuro puzzle has one and only solution, and can be solved through logic alone.
  • Kholat, IMGN.PRO: Kholat is an exploration adventure game with elements of horror, inspired by a true event known as the Dyatlov Pass incident. A mysterious death of nine Russian hikers, which led to countless, unconfirmed hypotheses. The player will plunge directly into the boundless scenery of the inhospitable Ural Mountains with the task to find out what really happened.
  • Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, Oddworld Inhabitants: How would you feel if you broke your leg in a scrab trap, were abducted by soulless scientists, had an alien device implanted in your skull, and found out your race had been hunted to extinction? It’s up to you to help guide Munch in efforts to rescue fellow test creatures. These critters will be forever loyal to Munch and in turn enable his escape . Once free, Munch teams up with Abe and together they are guided by the wisdom of the Almighty Raisin.
  • Piano, Sabec (available Friday 15th May): Piano is a simple and fun game for kids and adults of all age, that will teach you how to play your favourite songs. Choose from one of the 9 included classic learning songs that will teach you how to play them like a professional by highlighting the keys. You will be surprised how easy it is to play something that sounds so amazing so quick.
  • Roulette, Sabec: Roulette is an easy to play simulation of the classic casino game where the objective of the game is to bet on the number or a combinations of numbers by placing chips on the table where you think the ball will land after it spins in the wheel.
  • Satazius NEXT, Storybird: Discover SATAZIUS NEXT the new classic shoot them up for your console. Completely redesigned and animated for more gaming pleasure, Satazius Next takes you in a galaxy far away. Lost on planet Agano, resist the attacks of space pirates and save the universe from destruction. Aim to kill to defeat your enemies.
  • Star Horizon, No Gravity Games: Experience fast action, thrilling levels, spectacular explosions and lots of pew-pew-pew. Star Horizon is a reboot for the on-rails space shooter genre.
  • The Eternal Castle [REMASTERED], TFL Studios (available Friday 15th May): The Eternal Castle [REMASTERED] is an ambitious attempt to modernize an old classic in order to keep its memory alive. Through detailed research and hard work, the production team tried to expand the experience while keeping the same ‘feel’ and emotional flow of the original masterpiece from 1987.
  • The Experiment: Escape Room, OnSkull Development: While visiting a well renowned doctor, you notice something is amiss at his office. Before you realize what’s going on, he drugs you and you fall asleep. When you wake up, you are sitting on a chair in the back room, locked and unable to get out of the building. You can tell that the doctor is running some kind of experiment on animals and people and you are his next subject! Can you figure out what’s going on and escape before it’s too late?
  • The Wonderful 101: Remastered, PlatinumGames (available Tuesday 19th May): Revisit this classic action-adventure game with an improved framerate, upgraded visuals and faster loading times. A team of heroes from around the world must UNITE to protect the earth from vicious alien invaders. This band of 100 Wonderful Ones must work together using their fantastic abilities to create a variety of forms.   • Thy Sword, Ratalaika Games (available Friday 15th May): Thy Sword is a retro inspired hack and slash roguelike with procedural generated levels. Pick from different hero types like the Barbarian and Valkyrie to break the tyranny of the Dark Overlord! Pick from three different difficulty modes to suit your playstyle. New to adventuring? Then select apprentice mode to have infinite credits or if you’re a heroic veteran, choose hero mode where you only have one credit.
  • Travel Mosaics 3: Tokyo Animated, JetDogs: Travel Mosaics 3: Tokyo Animated is the newest installment in the nonogram puzzle series for Nintendo Switch™. The Walkers are taking you on a fun sightseeing tour around colorful Tokyo! Get to know the famous attractions of the Japanese capital, solve new puzzles, answer quiz questions and expand your knowledge as you play.
  • TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge 2, Nacon: Without a shadow of a doubt it is one of the most dangerous motorbike races in the world. In TT Isle of Man – Ride On the Edge 2, you prove your worth in different championships before setting out to conquer the Snaefell Mountain Course, a 60 km-long track with both winding and straight sections that will push your riding skills to the limit.
  • Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, Kalypso Media (available Tuesday 19th May): Take control of the most technologically advanced army in the Imperium – The Adeptus Mechanicus – in this critically acclaimed, turn-based tactical game.
