This week’s Nintendo eShop releases for North America are in, delivering new demos and games for Nintendo Switch, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS – as well as plentiful discounts across all platforms.

Nintendo Switch Demos
- Black Hole, Dufgames – Free
Black Hole is an arcade-style twin-stick shooter in space. Choose your ship and embark on a dangerous and action packed flight through multiple black holes. Shoot everything you can see and collect everything you can find.
- I and Me, Ratalaika Games – Free
I and Me is a puzzle platformer. To play the game, you control two cats simultaneously. The two characters will perform exactly the same action.You need to manage both of them at the same time and let them coordinate to complete the adventure. The game has four chapters based on four seasons with a total of 92 levels.
- Word Search by POWGI, Lightwood Games – Free
Word Search by POWGI includes more than 300 puzzles to keep you – and your friends – puzzling for hours! Up to four can play! Connect extra controllers, go online or use local wireless to solve the puzzle as a team – or compete for the best score. Or just sit back and relax with immersive touch screen controls as you take on 27 different categories of puzzles at your own pace!
Nintendo Switch Games
- ACA NEOGEO Samurai Shodown III, Hamster Corporation – $7.99
Samurai Shodown III is a fighting game released by SNK in 1995. It is a sequel to Samurai Shodown II. You can now fill your Rage Gauge, as well as block attacks mid-air. Player characters now have two styles to choose from in Slash and Bust. The ways of battle have greatly expanded.
- Animated Jigsaws: Beautiful Japanese Scenery, Rainy Frog – $9.99
Animated Jigsaws – Beautiful Japanese Scenery contains moving images from spring, summer, autumn and winter capturing the natural beauty of Japan from all four seasons. Piece together scenes from some of Japanese most famous places including Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, Tokyo and the Snow Monkeys enjoying a bath in a natural hot spring! The hectic scramble crossing at the metropolitan Shibuya district in Tokyo is also included.
- Arcade Archives Ninja-Kid, Hamster Corporation – $7.99
Ninja-Kid is an action game that was released from the UPL in 1984. Players control Ninja-kun who puts a red hood on, and layers move the scaffold consisting of several stairs up, down, left or right, and players defeat the enemy with the shuriken.
- Arcade Archives Punch-Out!!, Hamster Corporation – $7.99
Punch-Out!! is a sports-action game released by Nintendo in 1984. Watch your opponents’ expressions and moves as you use a variety of punches and defensive moves on your path to become the boxing champion. The game became extremely popular with the double monitor setup, introducing intense boxing with dynamic graphics.
- Bombslinger, Plug In Digital – $11.99 (available Wednesday 11th April)
Wear the poncho of the Bombslinger, a ruthless bandit turned peaceful rancher on a quest to avenge the murder of his missus and destruction of his ranch at the hands of his former posse. Bomb your way through hordes of enemies and master the classic bomb-slinging gameplay in a solo adventure with procedurally generated levels, character progression with skill upgrades, and a variety of offensive and defensive items.

Infernium is a game filled with brutal challenges to overcome. While playing the game you won’t be able to kill or damage most of the enemies but at the same time running away without a second though is not the solution. While being chased you will need to think and reconsider your strategy and open hidden shortcuts while the world and it’s lore will unfold around you in a non-linear way making each playthrough diferent. Splat the Fruit is the thinking persons version of Angry Birds. If you love a challenge and want the freedom of playing a game your own way you will love Splat the Fruit. Think marble run with lots of extras. The aim of Splat the Fruit! is to splat all your oranges using a variety of implements including bombs, cannons and magnets.

New Nintendo 3DS Games

Inspired by Stephen King’s book The Dark Tower, Alter World is a 2D platformer with interesting gameplay mechanics. Player can pass on an alternative universe anytime and use an alternative realms to move to another level.
Nintendo 3DS Demos
- Detective Pikachu: Special Demo Version, Nintendo – Free
Crack the case in the new Detective Pikachu game by interacting with a unique, tough-talking Pikachu! As Tim Goodman, you’ll partner with a self-proclaimed “great detective” Pikachu to solve strange occurrences all over Ryme City. Together you must investigate, take notes and meet up with other Pokémon to unravel the city’s greatest mysteries! Game in 2D. This demo covers a portion of the first chapter of the game. Save data is transferable to the full version of the game once purchased.
