This week’s Nintendo eShop releases for North America are in, delivering new add-on content and games for Nintendo Switch – as well as plenty of discounts across all platforms.

Nintendo Switch Demos

  • BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!, Nintendo – Free
    Think outside the box to save a world in peril! As Qbby or Qucy, you’ll create boxes and use them to surmount more than 270 puzzling stages—the most in the series to date! The box planet is plagued with obstacles, so jump, climb, drift, ride, and warp your way past them in three modes, complete with their own stories, stages, challenges, and techniques. You can even team up for a 2-player adventure starring both star-crossed boxes!
  • Voxel Shot for Nintendo Switch, SAT-BOX – Free (available Monday 22nd April)
    Voxel Shot is a simple pick-up-and-play action game set in an adorably quirky world of toys where you and your friends beat up zombies (and each other!) using a variety of different weapons.

  • Active Soccer 2019, Gianluca Troiano – $14.99 (available Friday 19th April)
    Active Soccer 2019 is an exciting top-down arcade football game providing a fast-paced arcade experience, implementing amazing playability and responsive easy-to-learn/hard-to-master controls.
  • ALPHA, Kaname – $5 (available Friday 19th April)
    ALPHA is a single-player action shooting game. With an average play time of two hours, you must knock enemy bullets with your sword to shoot and slash your way through stages.
  • Arcade Archives Time Pilot, Hamster Corporation – $7.99

  • Construction Machines Simulator, SimFabric – $29.49 (available Friday 19th April)
    If you are a fan of construction or destruction this game is for you. Become a boss of the building company. Sit behind the wheels of multiple vehicles like excavators or cranes and expand your business. Build campsites, rental homes, office parks and more.
  • Cuphead, StudioMDHR – $19.99
    Cuphead is a classic run-and-gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era: traditional hand-drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.
  • Dawn of Survivors, Winstone Entertainment – $1.99
    When the dead rise, only the strong survive. Take on players from around the world in this zombie survivor game.   • Deponia, Daedalic Entertainment – $39.99 (available Wednesday 24th April)
    In Deponia, the world has degenerated into a vast garbage dump, in which the crotchety Rufus ekes out his sorry existence. He is part of the lowest social class, doomed to live his life in literal mountains of trash. He hopes for an opportunity to get into the world of the rich, who live in a floating city high above the clouds.
  • Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Capcom – $29.99 (available Wednesday 23rd April)
    The action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen combines deep combat with the freedom to explore a huge open world. Enter the high-fantasy setting of Gransys, a land where dragons, chimeras, and other fabled monsters roam. Choose between three different starter vocations, which you can further develop for a total of nine unique vocations.     Once upon a time, pigs would have to build a house of bricks to keep the wolves at bay, but not anymore. In Iron Snout, its hero piggie has taken up learning martial arts and now it’s the wolves that need to keep their distance because in this bonkers button-mashing beat ’em up, bacon is off the menu for good.

  • Mortal Kombat 11, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment – $59.99 (available Tuesday 22nd April)

  • The Padre, Feardemic – $19.99
    The Padre is a retro stylised 3D horror adventure game tapping deep into the roots of classic horror games. The dark and striking atmosphere is often cut by the wicked humour of the always witty Padre. You will need to use your brains to solve challenging puzzles, as well as your brawns to fend off monsters, all at the same time while you try to unravel the mysteries of the mansion, yourself and the eternal fight between good and evil.
  • You Died But A Necromancer Revived You, JaimeAlvarezLosada – $8.99 (available Friday 19th April)
    You Died… but a Necromancer revived you! And will keep reviving you back to their crazy tower of death until you reach the top floor and get rid of them, allowing you to finally be free. Reaching the top to challenge the Necromancer is no easy feat, the pathways are narrow and full of traps: chainsaws, spikes, cannons, flamethrowers. On top of that, the floor behind you will start exploding if you take too long!
