Nintendo eShop Down With Error Code 2811-7429

The Nintendo eShop is down, with those looking to access the digital store on Nintendo Switch encountering error code 2811-7429.

“Unable to connect to the server,” the error message reads. “The network may be busy, or there may be a problem with the server. Please try again later.”

Nintendo is yet to acknowledge that there is a problem, although we can only hazard a guess that it will be largely due to the surge in those receiving the portable home console on Christmas Day exploring what digital experiences their new present has to offer them for the first time.

With users referred to Nintendo Support, the website doesn’t even list the 2811-7429 error code that many are now seeing on their console. The company’s Network Maintenance Information / Operational Status website also states: “Currently, all servers are operating normally.” Which from our own experience, we know is not the case.

Update (25/12/2020): Nintendo of America has acknowledged that error that users are experiencing, writing on Twitter: “We are aware that players are experiencing errors accessing Nintendo eShop, and are working to address the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding, and please see our Network Status page for the latest updates.”

  1. This issue somehow corrupted my 128gb Samsung EVO SDXC U1 card that has been working perfectly before now not even my pc will see it, it’s basically bricked but my Switch works now with another card I formatted in it. Be careful!
