Nintendo of Europe have announced the latest additions to hit WiiWare, Nintendo DSiWare and Virtual Console this week, bringing a wealth of new content.
The clear highlight of which is the arrival of Super Nintendo classic Final Fantasy III, regarded as one of the strongest entries within Square Enix’s popular series.

Originally released as FINAL FANTASY III on SNES in North America, this game is in fact FINAL FANTASY VI from the main series chronology. Continuing the long history of FINAL FANTASY games, FINAL FANTASY III allows you to enter the world of the Espers. Select the player’s castle, and then send your army to storm the enemy’s castle in real time. Capture the castle and destroy your enemies to earn gold that you can use to upgrade your commander’s abilities and to buy items that will help you win more battles. Select commanders and different cards to upgrade your army or castle. If, at the end of a battle, you have managed to occupy the enemy’s castle, you win!
