Special Offers
* Donkey Kong, Nintendo – £0.30 (€0.30) until August 13th, normally £3.49 (€4.99)
Part of the Family Computer 30th Anniversary Campaign. Donkey Kong not only launched the career of Mario, when he was known simply as Jumpman, but also of the eponymous ape who went on to become a hero himself. It also laid the foundation for the ‘platform’ genre – still going strong to this day. This NES version of the arcade classic was a launch title for the console, and is one of the most faithful adaptations of the original. Rescue the kidnapped Pauline from DK’s clutches, negotiating increasingly tricky obstacles, and knock that pesky primate off his perch!

This is the US version of the game.

* Football Up 3D, EnjoyUp Games – £4.19 (€4.89) until July 25th, normally £5.99 (€6.99)
Football Up 3D is a funny soccer game that allows you total control of any of your team’s player’s actions: control the ball, dribble and shoot with effect to confuse the goalkeeper and score a goal! The ball has inertia and will move freely over the field. Show your ability to control it and make short and long passes. Choose the height, effect and power before shooting at the goal. Become a football master and make your rival defenders tremble! Each country has its national team. You can create your own team with the in-game editor: give it the name you like, choose its equipment and, most importantly, play with your Mii saved on the Mii Maker of your Nintendo 3DS.

* Kid Icarus, Nintendo – £3.49 (€4.99), although half price if you purchase Metroid until July 25th
In the distant kingdom of Angel Land the cruel goddess Medusa has stolen the three sacred treasures and has imprisoned the Goddess of Light, Palutena. Only you, Kid Icarus, will be able to recover the treasures, destroy Medusa and rescue Palutena from captivity. During your adventure you will traverse eerie ruins, in which you’ll find weapons and valuable remedies. These will be essential if you want to win the fight against Medusa’s army. A bow and arrow will come in handy when the sinister underworld gatekeepers are blocking your way. Once you’ve defeated all of Medusa’s underlings, you’ll be faced with the greatest challenge: Medusa herself! Will you succeed in rescuing Palutena and returning the sacred treasures?

* Metroid, Nintendo – £3.49 (€4.99), although half price if you purchase Kid Icarus until July 25th
Metroids – the most dangerous creatures in the galaxy – have fallen into the hands of Space Pirates! As bounty hunter Samus Aran, battle through the depths of planet Zebes to take out the pirates’ leader Mother Brain and restore peace to the galaxy. The original NES classic Metroid introduced gamers to a unique mix of action and exploration that has become the series’ trademark. Use Samus’s Morph Ball ability to search every nook and cranny, and uncover power-ups like the Ice Beam, Varia Suit and Screw Attack.

Wii U Download Software

Highly-reputed boutique game studio G.rev is pleased to offer Kokuga – an old-school strategic shooter for the Nintendo 3DS. In this top-down, 360-degree free-scrolling shooter, players start at one of 12 stages, destroying drones, enemy tanks, gun towers and other mecha as they progress. Each stage culminates with a boss fight, pitting the players’ compact tank against massive heavily-armed bosses. Clear the game by defeating one of the three challenging final stages.

* Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros., Nintendo – £34.99 (€39.99)
In this fourth instalment of the popular RPG series Mario & Luigi, the story opens with Princess Peach and her staff, plus brothers Mario and Luigi in tow, being invited for a sightseeing trip to the mysterious Pi’illo Island by its equally mysterious proprietor, Dr Snoozemore. But after an initially hospitable welcoming to the island – albeit with Dr Snoozemore noticeably absent – things take a turn for the worse when Princess Peach is kidnapped and pulled into a Dream World by a new enemy in the series, the ghostly bat king Antasma.

* Murder on the Titanic, Joindots – £14.99 (€14.99)
It is 1912, and a fabulous voyage on the Titanic awaits you. As assistant to globetrotter Professor Jacob Larsson, you board that breathtaking ship to experience a wonderful passage to New York. Yet early in the evening of April 14th, Captain Smith unexpectedly requests Larsson’s help. Deep within the bowels of the mighty Titanic, the body of a stoker had been discovered. Now it is up to you to solve this murder.

* My Farm 3D, Big Ben – £6.99 (€7.99)

Few are aware, and mainstream science seems to ignore the fact, that some almost perfectly spherical metal spheres were found buried deep in various mines in Africa. The spheres have three concentric rings etched around their circumference, which appear to be neither natural nor man-made. So what are these anachronisms doing in rock strata dating back over a million years? Is it possible that the first civilisations could be millions of years old?
