Since launch, Nintendo Switch has been showered with ports from all directions and, in a surprise Nintendo Direct presentation for April Fool’s Day, it looks like that won’t be changing any time soon.
IGN has shared the exclusive four-minute news broadcast, in which Nintendo R&D’s Haru Itazura – whose name translates to “Spring prank” – proudly announces that every game that’s ever been made is coming to the portable home console.
That starts with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, and all the other adventures that Link’s been on. Only for the rapid-fire news to then move on to Half-Life 2, Grand Theft Auto V, Mass Effect 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher 3, and more.
However, “everything” coming to Nintendo Switch also means the worst things are coming, too. Whether that be Bubsy II, 50 Cent: Bulletproof, Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing, Itazura then descends into Switch-click madness as he points out ever-more obscure games and services headed to the console. And, Happy April Fool’s Day, I guess.
