Nintendo Direct presentations confirmed to continue

It has been confirmed that Nintendo Direct presentations “will continue,” despite their absence in the months after Satoru Iwata tragically passed away.

They have quickly established themselves as part of the late Nintendo president’s enduring legacy, but the company reverted back to traditional means of disseminating their news as it took time to react to such loss.

“Nintendo Directs will continue, but we have no details to provide now on who will be featured or the topics that will be covered,” Nintendo confirmed to IGN.

We can speculate that the next Nintendo Direct will serve to highlight games releasing throughout the remainder of the year. On Wii U, that covers Project Zero: Maiden of the Black Water, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, Star Fox Zero, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. Whereas there’s perhaps more to learn about Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes and Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash on Nintendo 3DS.
