Nintendo have re-confirmed Shigeru Miyamoto’s earlier statement that a new Super Mario Bros. game for Wii U will be shown at E3 in June.
Miyamoto had disclosed such news to El Mundo, a Spanish newspaper, during an interview they held with the legendary games designer during his recent visit to Paris.
“In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Wii U system will be shown at this year’s E3 Expo,” a Nintendo spokesperson confirmed to Eurogamer. “We’ll have more to announce about our plans for the E3 Expo at a later date.”
It is unclear as to whether this will be the prototype New Super Mario Bros. Mii that was shown at E3 2011, or if it’s set to be another 3D adventure for the portly plumber.
