Nintendo have confirmed that Fire Emblem 3D is currently in development for Nintendo 3DS.
Set for a Spring 2012 release window in Japan, the game is tentatively known as ‘Fire Emblem’ currently but this will undoubtedly change in future.
Whilst details remain light, Nintendo discussed how neighbouring units would be able to attack a single enemy simultaneously.
You can head to Nintendo’s information page for two videos of the game.
