Nintendo of America has outlined new promotions, game discounts and in-store events for Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year, which it hopes will “help make holiday gatherings more memorable.”
The ways in which they have looked to help you “power up your holidays” have been outlined below:
- Begin your Nintendo Switch 2 adventures and experience the next evolution of Nintendo Switch with the Nintendo Switch 2 system ($449.99) or the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle ($499.99).
- With Nintendo Switch 2, players can enjoy exclusive titles such as Donkey Kong Bananza, purchase upgrade packs for select Nintendo Switch games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, experience recent releases like Pokémon Legends: Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and pre-order upcoming titles like Kirby Air Riders and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Plus, you can enjoy compatible physical and digital Nintendo Switch games.
- Visit My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch from Thursday 20 November until Wednesday 3 December at 11.59 pm PT for the Cyber Deals sale, featuring holiday offers on select games.
- Beginning Sunday 23 November, select retailers (including both official Nintendo US stores) will offer deals on physical versions of Nintendo Switch games: Princess Peach: Showtime!, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe ($39.99 each); as well as Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo Switch Sports, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Splatoon 3 ($29.99 each).
- The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 3 all have free Nintendo Switch 2 updates so you can enjoy smoother gameplay at higher resolutions when playing them on Nintendo Switch 2.
- Select amiibo, including The Legend of Zelda Series Sages amiibo figures of Tulin, Yunobo, Riju and Sidon; Street Fighter 6 amiibo figures of Jamie, Kimberly and Luke; and the Street Fighter 6 amiibo Card Starter Set will all be $10 off MSRP at select retailers.
- Finally, starting Sunday 30 November at Nintendo San Francisco, Nintendo New York, and select retailers, you can keep the holiday cheer going with $20 off MSRP on Samsung MicroSD Express Cards and get additional storage space for more games on Nintendo Switch 2.
The company has also teamed up with select retailers to host free in-store events throughout the holiday season, with attendees having the chance to participate in Nintendo-themed giveaways while supplies last. Those in-store events are:
- On Saturday 15 November and Saturday 13 December, participating Best Buy locations will host demos of Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza and more.
- On Saturday 6 December, local GameStop locations will host demos of Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Kirby Air Riders, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and more.
- Plus, hop aboard the GameTruck + Walmart Holiday Tour to play Mario Kart World with GameTruck at select Walmart locations on weekends starting Saturday 15 November to Saturday 13 December from 10 am – 5 pm local time. Those who visit the official Nintendo San Francisco and Nintendo New York stores from mid-November can enjoy festive décor, gift-with-purchase offers (while supplies last), and an all-new, exclusive Winter Collection – which includes cosy attire, accessories, and more with “a distinct Nintendo feel with Nintendo characters and designs.”
