Nortec Multimedia parted ways with Nintendo of Europe, which meant that their platforms and software were without a distributor in Greece the Balkan region.

That’s now changed after a new distribution agreement has been signed with CD Media. From 1st October 2016, CD Media will take over responsibility as their local regional distribution representative.

“We are very happy to begin our co-operation with CD Media, and we would like to thank all Nintendo fans in Greece and surrounding territories for their continued support in our franchises,” said Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata. “We believe CD Media has a very strong team and service infrastructure in the region to deliver our content.”

CD Media president Spiros Jamas adds: “We are absolutely delighted and honoured to have been selected by Nintendo of Europe as their regional distribution partner. This is a pivotal moment in our development as the leading distributor of digital entertainment in the region. We are committed to provide Nintendo fans and consumers in general in the region with exemplary service and support.”

Nortec Multimedia had cited “important trade issues with Nintendo” as the reason for ending their partnership with Nintendo of Europe, which came to a close on 31st December 2015.
