Nintendo 3DS wins Best Innovation award

The Nintendo 3DS has received a Best Innovation award today, during the 2011 GamesMaster Golden Joystick Awards.

With its glasses-free stereoscopic 3D display, 3D camera capabilities, accelerometer and gyrometer, it’s certainly a device that packs a punch, and that’s not to mention Augmented Reality, StreetPass and SpotPass functionality.

With a swarm of key releases nearing on the horizon, as well as the hefty November system update, it is an incredibly positive time to be a Nintendo 3DS owner.
