Nintendo 3DS System Update 11.0.0-33 Now Available

Nintendo has pushed live another minor Nintendo 3DS system update worldwide, which has seen the handheld’s firmware upgraded to version 11.0.0-33.

That delivers little more than the usual “further improvements to overall system stability,” and “minor adjustments” that promise to enhance the user experience as always.

Notorious hacker Smealum lends some perspective, revealing Nintendo’s effort to address loopholes that have allowed their handheld to be hacked.

“Alright, so looks like Nintendo is trying to kill off Ninjhax and OOT3Dhax by randomising their physical layout,” he wrote in response to the update becoming available.

“I think bypassing that is very doable but it’s also not as immediate as fixes for previous updates, so might take a few days. It turns out Nintendo also blocked network access from Cubic in to hinder exploitation. Should be plenty of ways to get around it though.”

He closed, “Not sure what best option is yet, but I’m confident I’ll be able to put something usable together.”

Version 11.0.0-33 available via wireless Internet connection includes the following improvements:
