Nintendo 3DS System Update 10.4.0-29 Now Available

With Nintendo Network maintenance taking place overnight, the chance has also been taken to push a new Nintendo 3DS system update live to coincide with whatever tinkering the company is doing in the background.

That sees their five year old handheld upgraded to firmware version 10.4.0-29, a shift that once again simply introduces the expected: “further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”

If anything, we can assume that this is a continuation in Nintendo’s efforts to address security vulnerabilities that hackers look to expose to circumvent the 3DS hardware.

This remains a mandatory update to New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo 2DS systems, and is therefore required for anyone that wishes to use any online activity on the device such as the Nintendo eShop.
