Nintendo 3DS software continues to dominate Japanese charts

The Nintendo 3DS continues its dominance across Japan, seeing twelve titles within this week’s Media Create sales charts – a clump of which filled the top five positions.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, which released in Japan last week, topped that chart with 104,569 unit sales, whereas Tomodachi Collection: New Life, Chousoko Henkei Gyrozetter: Ablbatross no Tsubasa, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf saw healthy sales performance.

In terms of hardware it was the Nintendo 3DS XL that lead sales, followed closely behind by the standard Nintendo 3DS model.
