Having launched last Friday across Japan, the Nintendo 3DS has certainly seen its fair share of demand with the initial shipment of 400,000 units reportedly selling out.
Enterbrain, a Japanese publisher who look after popular gaming magazine Famitsu, have further stated that the system achieved sales of 371,326 units over Saturday and Sunday, with retailers taking pre-orders from consumers for the next shipment.
Nintendo currently expects to supply Japan with a total of 1.5 million systems by March 31st, with a further shipment of 4 million heading worldwide. Let’s hope there is enough to satisfy demand!
