The Nintendo 3DS has celebrated a further milestone, surpassing 10 million unit sales across Japan.
Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu published sales report data from Enterbrain, which, when combining Nintendo 3DS and 3DS LL sales sees 10,068,192 units sold up until January 6th 2013.
Sales have been stimulated by the recent release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which recently passed 2 million sales in Japan.
This has been achieved within the 98 weeks since launch, although this is significantly longer than the Nintendo DS Lite which hit such point in 61 weeks.
