The Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program has gone live across North America today, allowing early adopters the chance to download ten free NES titles from the Nintendo eShop.
Arriving a day early than previously expected, Nintendo has warned eager fans that due to large numbers of users downloading such games, they may take longer than usual to download.
You’re also able to download the ‘Ambassador Certificate’ which may be used to receive updates regarding the Ambassador Program, such as when new titles are available to download.
The ten available NES games are as follows:
* Balloon Fight
* Donkey Kong Jr.
* Ice Climber
* Metroid
* NES Open Tournament Golf
* Super Mario Bros.
* The Legend of Zelda
* Wrecking Crew
* Yoshi
* Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
In order to download the games through your Nintendo 3DS, follow these steps:
1. From the Nintendo 3DS HOME menu, select the Nintendo eShop icon.
2. Scroll left and select “Settings / Other.”
3. Scroll down and select “Your Downloads” to view a list of transactions.
4. The NES game will be listed here once it is available to download.
5. Tap “Redownload,” then “Download.”
6. The game will now be downloaded to the SD Card.
