Nintendo of America has partnered with EMP Museum to host a special Nindies@Night event in Seattle, being held before PAX Prime.

This free event will take place on Thursday 27th August from 8pm, and invites those in Seattle to play 19 recently released and upcoming games by independent developers for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

Many of which will have their respective teams on hand to answer questions, with Nintendo promising multiplayer competitions, giveaways and food and drink to keep you nourished. Attendees will compete to see their skills showcased on the 60-foot HD LED screen in the EMP Sky Church, where Nintendo of America’s senior marketing manager of publisher and developer relations Damon Baker will host a presentation at 9pm.

“Support from our esteemed ‘Nindie’ developers on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS continues to surprise and delight our fans,” said Baker. “We’re thrilled to highlight these partners in collaboration with EMP and kick off the expo weekend in the best way possible – by playing new games together with friends.”

Whereas during PAX Prime between Friday 28th – Monday 31st August, Nintendo will have a dedicated “Nindies” lounge in the Willow B room at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. This will be open from noon to 8pm between Friday – Sunday, and noon to 6pm on the Monday.
