Nick Chavez has succeeded Doug Bowser as Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.
In his new role, Chavez will oversee sales-related functions such as sales, in-store merchandising, retail strategy, and marketing.
After previous roles at The Walt Disney Company, Leo Burnett Company, and Yahoo!, Chavez joined Nintendo of America as director of consumer marketing in April 2010.
Since then, he has been promoted to senior director of consumer marketing and, more recently in August 2016, to vice president of marketing.
In that time, Chavez has worked on marketing games like Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Donkey Kong Country Returns and hardware such as the Nintendo Switch.
