Nintendo has announced that the next Splatoon 2 Splatfest will kick off this weekend, asking players whether they would rather be a knight or wizard.
The Splatfest will start at different times, depending on which region you are in. For those in the United Kingdom and Europe, it will start from 12pm GMT (1pm CET) on Saturday 16th March. Whereas for those in North America, your medieval showdown will begin at 9pm PDT on Friday 15th March. As usual, the Splatfest will be live for 24 hours.
There’s one neat addition this time around, though. Those that have scanned the Octoling Girl or Octoling Boy amiibo in-game will have unlocked the Enchanted and Steel series clothing, and, if worn, your Splatfest Tee will change to match what you are wearing.
“This Splatfest also has a fun feature – if you match your headgear and shoes with the ones from the Enchanted or Steel series, available through the Octoling Girl or Octoling Boy amiibo figures, the look of your Splatfest Tee will change to the clothes from each series during battles,” the Squid Research Lab explains.
“Please note the main gear ability of the clothes remains the same as the Splatfest Tee and is Ability Doubler.”
Splatoon 2 is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
