Nintendo has announced that their next smart device applications will use their Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing franchises, which will see release in autumn.

These “pure game applications” see the company look to build on the positive reaction to Miitomo, which has sparked more than 300 million conversations, seen more than 20 million Miifotos snapped, and has reached over 10 million users.

The Fire Emblem app will be made “more accessible” compared to entries seen on Nintendo’s dedicated hardware, but will look “to offer the great value of a role-playing strategy game.” Whereas the Animal Crossing app will developed so that it can connect with games released on the company’s hardware, with those choosing to play across both being able to discover “increased enjoyment.”

Nintendo will share more news nearer launch, but explain that they will have “more prominent game elements” in line with their respective franchises.
